Book Group
The book group meets every other month. After a havdallah ceremony for the end of Shabbat, the participants enjoy a pot luck meal and a discussion of a previously assigned book with a Jewish theme and/or author. These informal discussions are fun for people whether or not they have read the book. Occasionally the group watches a video instead of discussing a book.
Purim Carnival
The Purim Carnival is geared towards B'nai Torah's Sunday School students. There are several carnival games, activities, crafts, and prizes. Favorites include the cake walk, where participants walk around in a circle on pictures placed on the floor, and whoever lands on a specific picture when the music stops wins a cupcake. Another favorite is when students get a chance to throw a whipped cream pie at the rabbi, after answering questions about Judaism correctly. The Purim Carnival is a successful yearly event. Adult and teen members of our congregation enjoy running the activities and watching the children have fun.

Some years, a silent auction is held along with the Purim Carnival. Come, join the fun, and bid on some terrific items!
Bi-Annual Art Auction
Every other year, Congregation B'nai Torah hosts a gala art auction, featuring the work of many internationally known artists.  At each auction, between 100-200 pieces of art ranging in price from $50 - $10,000 are auctioned off, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the congregation.  This is a spectacular event not to be missed!
Annual Fundraiser Dinner
Congregation B’nai Torah’s Social and Fundraising Committees combine to do a yearly fun social event at Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant. This event is held annually on Martin Luther King Holiday making it convenient for most families to attend. While this is a fundraiser giving the congregation 20% of returns, it is mostly a fun time for all. We start at 5:30 p.m. and go until closing at 8:00 p.m. Families come and go as needed. However, many families just stay and visit with members they see on occasion. It is truly a great way to have fun!
